What causes Arthritis foot pain?
Arthritis is a common cause foot pain, primarily due to inflammation in the joints. This inflammation can lead to, stiffness, and pain, making it difficult to walk or stand for extended periods. The main types of arthritis affecting the feet are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid, both of which can damage cartilage and bone over time. Managing and its symptoms often requires a combination of medication, chiropractic treatments, active muscle release techniques, and lifestyle changes to improve mobility and reduce discomfort. This type of foot pain can be anywhere in the foot but most commonly across the top of the foot and base of the toes.
What causes Plantar Fasciitis?
Plantar fasciitis is a prevalent condition that arises from a variety of contributing factors. One major cause is Overuse, which occurs when individuals engage in repetitive activities or spend extended periods standing, leading to strain and inflammation of the plantar fascia.

Another important aspect is Foot Mechanics and Joint dysfunction; individuals with flat feet, high arches, or who have an abnormal walking pattern due to joint dysfunction or restriction may experience increased stress on the plantar fascia, making them more vulnerable to injury.

Age also plays a significant role, as the plantar fascia tends to lose elasticity over time, particularly as people grow older, which heightens the risk of developing this condition.

Additionally, Obesity, is a contributing factor, as carrying excess weight places pressure on the feet, further increasing the likelihood of plantar fasciitis.

Lastly, wearing Improper Footwear can exacerbate foot problems; shoes lack adequate support or cushioning can lead to discomfort strain on the plantar fascia. By understanding these various causes, individuals can take proactive steps in preventing plantar fasciitis and promoting overall foot health.

Follow Up Treatments:
The treatment plan will depend on the underlying cause of the foot pain pain, however it may combine forms of Active Release, Chiropractic adjustments, and potentially GRASTON therapy.

Chiropractic adjustments are designed to alleviate pain, pressure, and improper alignment of the ankle and foot joints through controlled manual manipulation. Aligning the foot and ankle joints significantly improve function of the foot thus relieving pressure from the plantar fascia, allowing it to heal.

Soft tissue techniques like Active Muscle Release and GRASTON therapy, target the damaged tissues. Lengthening and stretching them to relieve tension and inflammation as well as breaking down damaged tissue while bringing new blood flow to increase rate of healing.
